The Opportunity

The Opportunity

Takeda’s Agile Coaches play a pivotal role in enabling the adoption and sustainability of Takeda’s Agile Framework (TAF). They foster high-performing Agile teams, drive cultural transformation, and ensure effective delivery of business outcomes across diverse domains, including supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Guide Agile teams in adopting Takeda’s Agile Framework through methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean, tailored to team and business context.
  • Apply Agile Coaching techniques (e.g., mentoring, teaching, facilitating, and professional coaching) to support teams and leaders in their Agile journey.
  • Partner with Product Managers / Owners, Scrum Masters, and team members to enhance team dynamics, psychological safety, and delivery of customer value.
  • Support Agile maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives across teams and departments.
  • Facilitate change management practices to help individuals and teams navigate organizational transformation, resistance, and mindset shifts.
  • Advise technical leads on team formation, capability building, and long-term sustainability of Agile practices.
  • Promote Agile ways of working, identifying opportunities to improve flow, responsiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Enable effective use of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro to support transparency, alignment, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Functional / Chapter Leads to embed Agile / Lean principles into organizational structures and governance.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences using instructional design methodologies to build Agile capabilities across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Agile / Lean environments, with demonstrated success in coaching teams and leaders.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), OKRs, and Agile scaling frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to adapt to different team maturity levels.
  • Experience in organizational change management and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of a global organization.
  • Experience in applying Agile principles in supply chain or operations contexts is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Business acumen and intellectual curiosity, with a growth mindset and adaptability to ambiguity.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry.
  • Industry-recognized Agile Coaching certifications (e.g., ICP-ACC, ICP-CAT, SAFe SPC, Certified Scrum Professional).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies in supply chain or manufacturing environments.
