About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and certified FSQA Manager to lead our food safety and regulatory compliance programs. This role is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all food safety and quality systems in alignment with FDA, USDA, and GFSI standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is certified, highly technical, and passionate about building a strong food safety culture on the production floor.

Required Certifications (must be current and valid) :

HACCP (Codex-aligned certification)
FSMA PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual)
GFSI Certification (BRC, SQF, or FSSC 22000)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage food safety programs including HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, Food Defense, and Food Fraud.

Maintain GFSI certifications and ensure full audit readiness (BRC, SQF, or FSSC).

Ensure full compliance with FDA, USDA, and state food safety regulations.

Train, develop, and lead FSQA staff, fostering a culture of accountability and food safety awareness.

Investigate and resolve deviations, oversee CAPAs, and ensure robust root cause analysis.

Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation for all food safety and quality systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, R&D, and supply chain to ensure food safety is integrated into every process.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment.

Proven leadership in regulatory compliance, audit management, and FSQA system implementation.

Strong knowledge of U.S. food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, FSMA) and third-party certifications.

Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).

Strong communication, training, and team development skills.

Experience using FSQA software systems and quality reporting tools is preferred.
