Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer role at Torc. Full-time contract | 100% remote | Overlap U.S. Central Time hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin / Java
• Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs; integrate with external systems and services
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability across mobile platforms
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (SQLite, Room, Realm, Firebase, etc.)
• Implement CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / Jenkins) and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) for mobile backends / services
• Write unit, integration, UI, and performance tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate in Agile sprints; document & share knowledge

Bonus : Google Play Store app launches, Android certifications, experience with messaging systems (Kafka / RabbitMQ), exposure to DevOps / SRE practices, experience with cross-platform frameworks (Flutter / React Native)
