About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and hands‐on experience working with generative AI technologies. This role will support an upcoming project within our Customisation Team, focused on leveraging editorial content through innovative AI‐driven solutions.

The ideal candidate is a self‐starter with a passion for backend engineering, AI integration, and scalable architecture design. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimising microservices and workflows that harness the power of large language models (LLMs).

Core Qualifications & Required Skills

• Backend Development & Go Expertise

Strong experience in backend development with a primary focus on Go (Golang) in production‐grade environments.

Hands‐on experience integrating large language models (LLMs) via APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).

Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using Go testing frameworks.

Experience deploying and managing services in AWS (preferred), including Lambda, ECS, and S3.

Strong experience with MySQL / SQL databases, including schema design, query optimisation, and migrations.

Proficient with Git, GitHub / GitLab workflows, and CI / CD pipelines.

Advanced English proficiency (C1 or C2) with proven success collaborating in global, English‐speaking environments.

Python experience, particularly for LLM API integration, scripting, or data preprocessing.
