Responsibilities

  • Download BOM’s from corporate systems followed by detailed analysis and weight tracking.
  • Set up meetings with design teams to review their parts and weights. Confirm content and status.
  • Work with Weight Team Leads to provide regular weight status updates to the extended team.
  • Support Weight Leads to develop and track weight reduction opportunities list.
  • Coordinate component weighing at suppliers & assembly plants.
  • Assist with the validation of prototype vehicle weights comparing them to virtual BOM roll-ups.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant automotive product development experience.
  • Knowledge of the overall program development life cycle
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Experience analyzing data and formulating meaningful conclusions and recommendations .
  • Proficient at conducting data analysis and formulating observations .
  • Prior experience with mass properties or development of weight estimates in the automotive or aerospace field.
  • Strong communicator both (verbal & written).
  • Self-motivated , works with limited supervision, able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Advanced level of English , spoken and writing.
