We are seeking a proactive and skilled Chief Java Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team, focused on enhancing developer productivity and streamlining workflows.

You will play a key role in designing backend solutions, integrating enterprise systems, and creating tools that enable engineering teams to perform efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design backend APIs and integrations to optimize workflows and improve platform capabilities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and shared services to identify developer pain points
  • Integrate enterprise systems such as Kafka, ServiceNow, and Snowflake
  • Analyze developer workflows using metrics to pinpoint areas of friction and recommend improvements
  • Contribute to a dynamic team environment, providing innovative ideas and adaptive solutions
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to tackle technical challenges and refine processes

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Background in backend development with Java and Kotlin
  • Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and middleware integrations
  • Understanding of Kafka, Snowflake, and ServiceNow or similar enterprise systems
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced and evolving environments with minimal guidance
  • Skills in team collaboration and the ability to explain technical concepts effectively
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

    • Nice to have

  • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as ReactJS and TypeScript
  • Familiarity with developer tooling platforms or internal shared services
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or Prometheus
