Senior Application Engineer

Full Stack DeveloperAbout this opportunity : We are looking for an experienced and skilled developer to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, efficient, and user-friendly applications using Python, JavaScript, and related technologies.Key Responsibilities : Design and implement backend systems using FastAPI and GraphQL with Strawberry.Manage PostgreSQL databases using Peewee ORM and perform schema migrations and optimizations.Develop and maintain Prefect-based workflows for automation and integration with external services.Build integrations with PIMS (Impromed, Avimark, Cornerstone, EzyVet), Stripe, and communication services.Implement secure authentication using OAuth 2.0 and ACLs.Develop WebSocket-based real-time features for improved user experience.Frontend Development : Build responsive dashboards for administration and analytics using modern frontend frameworks.Develop intuitive booking flows for pet owners with real-time availability and seamless user experience.Ensure mobile responsiveness and optimal UX / UI using CSS / SCSS and Webpack / Vite.Implement GraphQL client integrations using Apollo or Relay.Deliver live UI updates via WebSockets for improved performance.Required Technical Skills : Python 3.9+ and async / await programming model.FastAPI (2+ years) and GraphQL with Strawberry or similar.PostgreSQL + SQL optimization and Peewee ORM (or SQLAlchemy).

REST API design and WebSocket development.Docker deployment and containerization.Preferred Domain Knowledge : Healthcare or veterinary industry expertise.SaaS and multi-tenant system experience.PCI compliance and HIPAA regulations knowledge.Payment integrations with Stripe.Experience Requirements : 5+ years of full stack development experience.3+ years of Python backend development experience.3+ years of modern frontend framework experience.2+ years of GraphQL API experience.SaaS / multi-tenant platform experience.Benefits : Competitive salary range : 75 to 100 k MXN per month + Sign-in bonus.PTO and relocation bonus.Hybrid on-site work arrangement.Others : English language proficiency at an advanced or native level is required.Ability to participate in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
