The Business Process Manager will play a pivotal role within the Digital Operations PMO team, acting as a strategic partner responsible for overseeing and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall organizational performance. The individual will work with cross-functional teams to design and establish effective processes and an operating model that includes clear process ownership, roles, responsibilities and workflows for Gilead US’s digital operations org.
Required Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in digital operations or process improvement, preferably within life sciences, or consulting organizations.
- Strong understanding of digital lifecycle and marketing operational workflows.
- Hands-on experience managing PMO deliverables that support commercial, marketing, or operations teams.
- Excellent project management and change management skills.
- Proficiency in using process mapping and analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Proficient with creation of executive presentations, dashboards and status updates for leadership.Knowledge of process modeling and improvement methodologies is desirable (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, BPM).Proficiency in project management software, eg. Workfront.Familiarity with GenAI platforms, content enablement solutions, or workflow / PMO tools.Experience with Smartsheet, Veeva Vault Promomats, or other enterprise collaboration tools.Key Responsibilities
1.Process Design and Documentation :
Identify, document, and understand existing business processes. Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement. Develop KPIs to measure process effectiveness.Design new processes or redesign existing ones to improve efficiency and productivity. Create process maps, flowcharts, and documentation to ensure clear understanding and communication of processes.Develop comprehensive documentation of digital processes, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each of our Ops capabilities (Marketing Automation, Web, AI, CPC and PMO).2.Process Adoption & Change Management :
Promote tool adoption and process standardization by ensuring adherence to governance and operational frameworks.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, workflows, playbooks, and user guides.Create and execute training plans, onboarding materials, and communication strategies to drive engagement and adoption of internal tools.Support change management for product rollouts, including stakeholder alignment and readiness assessments.3.Monitoring and Optimization :
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of processes. Identify opportunities for further optimization and automation. Recommend and implement improvements to achieve business objectives.4.Internal Product Management
Collaborate with leadership to shape product strategy for new DSO capabilities / products, feature roadmaps, and release plans for internal tools supporting digital operations.Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define operating model and workflows for the productsMonitor usage data, track key performance indicators, and gather user feedback to inform continuous product improvement.
