We're looking for aSenior Software Architectwho brings a sharp mind, strong leadership, and a deep understanding ofmobile ecommerce platforms.This is not a "hands-off" role.

You'llownthe architecture, lead the development process, and be thego-to technical expertfor one of our most important clients.Location : Mexico City (Hybrid : 2 days on-site in Polanco, 3 days remote)Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (1-hour lunch)Modality : ContractorSalary Range : $4,600 – $5,600 USD / month (based on experience)Project Duration : 1 yearLanguages Required : Spanish (on-site), Advanced English (daily with remote U.S. team) What You'll Own & LeadArchitect a robust, scalable, and secure mobile ecommerce platform using React Native , Firebase , and GCPDocument the entire architecture : components, APIs, data models, integrations, deployment strategiesTranslate business requirements into clear technical solutions and development plansTake full ownership of the codebase and technical decisions, no micromanagement, just full accountabilityMentor and guide developers on best practices, clean code, and architecture patternsCollaborate daily with stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teamsEnsure timely delivery of features with high performance and world-class user experienceConstantly look for performance, security, and process improvementsBe the main technical liaison with the client, your input matters Must-Have Technical Skills (9+ Years)React Native, Advanced mobile development skillsFirebase & GCP, Experience with scalable backend architectureReact & GraphQL, Deep understanding of frontend integrationGit & CI / CD, Solid workflows and deployment experienceUX Tools, Familiar with Figma , Sketch , or Adobe XDTechnical Documentation, Clear, organized, and professionalMobile Ecommerce Experience, PLP, PDP, Checkout flows, etc.JIRA and Agile methodologies What Sets You ApartYou bring clarity and structure to teams and technical decisionsYou're solutions-driven , focused on delivery and outcomesYou can communicate effectively with developers , PMs , clients , and executivesYou're detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong leaderYou thrive in high-impact, fast-moving environments Soft Skills That MatterHighly organized , capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritiesCollaborative, empathetic, and solution-orientedAble to anticipate issues and proactively resolve blockersStrong sense of accountability , ownership , and ethics Key RequirementsMust be based in Mexico CityAdvanced English required for daily remote collaboration with U.S.-based teamsExperience owning and leading the architecture of mobile ecommerce apps at scaleProven ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams Why Join Icalia Labs?
