Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in multidisciplinary projects. Coordinate electrical engineering calculations, specifications, and designs, including layout, schematic diagrams, one-line diagrams, cabling system, routing, etc.
- Experience in conceptual design, basic and detail engineering. Utilize industry standards (e.g., NOMS, CFE, PEMEX, ASME, API, ANSI) to complete assignments that are large and / or complex. Advise others on proper application of industry standards.
- Be able to review electrical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment such as UPS, DC chargers, LV / MV MCCs and switchgears, emergency generators, transformers. Develop MV one lines, MV schematics and three lines without supervision.
- Understand and propose power distribution arrangement and coordinate with designers, drafters for producing electrical design drawings, review quotations, purchase various electrical equipment, prepare bid tab evaluations. Manage electrical equipment vendor packages : Switchgears, H-houses, transformers, etc.
- Be able to perform and review electrical systems analysis with ETAP or SKM.
- Formulate technical specifications and prepare interface points with construction partners. Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Kiewit guidelines, providing suggestions and recommendations as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from university and more than 15 years of experience performing in multidisciplinary projects.Mid to advanced English level required : Good reading, writing, listening and speaking (fluent conversation) knowledge.Knowledge and application of current version of the NOM-001-SEDE-2012. Familiar with all applicable standards (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC, CFE, etc).Able to review voltage drop calculations and grounding calculations.Able to manage electrical equipment vendor packages : Switchgears, H-houses, transformers, etc.Able to review motor control center, switchgears, lighting and transformers calculations.Able to formulate and review technical specifications and datasheets for LV MCC, LV SWGR, MV MCC, MV SWGR, UPS, VFD, etc.Must have knowledge of Sizer, Dialux, Visual Lightnings.Able to develop and review electrical installations specifications, design criteria and scope of work.Benefits
