Purpose of the Role
Lead the Record-to-Report (R2R) function for North America, ensuring operational excellence. Oversee daily activities of the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team, supervise staff, monitor performance, and ensure timely internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership to a high-performing team, fostering a customer-focused and proactive culture.
- Collaborate closely with affiliates, stakeholders, and other departments to align R2R processes.
- Review and approve accounting transactions, GL reconciliations, and trial balances to ensure accuracy.
- Act as the main liaison with local Finance teams to coordinate adjustments and process alignment.
- Monitor team performance, resource utilization, and compliance with training and vacation policies.
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and successful transitions within the team.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
- Support talent development and succession planning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skillsMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, with strong knowledge of GAAPBachelor’s degree requiredProficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP ECC experience is a plusStrong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressureCritical thinker with excellent time management and resilienceTeam player with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
