This role is crucial for addressing customer requirements, all based on comprehensive data analysis from various sources and formats. You'll need to understand and identify missing information, pushing for clarity from customers, project managers, and different departments.
Stay informed and updated on the latest technologies, as customers often seek recommendations, advice, and proposed solutions for better configurations. Collaborate closely with presales to understand project goals and ensure alignment with their vision. If there are gaps, you'll determine what is needed to achieve success.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter expert with deep understanding of mobile network architecture, protocols, and performance optimization techniques.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for RAN systems based on vendor documentation and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors to understand their specifications and recommendations for performance measurement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze existing performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting metrics and KPIs as necessary to reflect changing network conditions and business objectives.
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards that visualize performance metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders for decision-making.
- Conduct regular reviews of performance metrics and KPIs to ensure they remain relevant and effective in measuring network performance and user experience.
- Design and configure alarm management systems to filter, categorize, and elevate alarms based on severity and impact on network performance that utilize raw data from equipment and vendor documentation to ensure proactive network management.
- Collaborate with vendors to understand alarm definitions, configurations, and best practices, integrating this knowledge into the alarm monitoring design.
- Utilize machine learning-based analytical tools to assess network performance, identify patterns, and predict potential issues within the RAN environment.
- Interpret the results generated by ML algorithms, translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations for network optimization and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to refine ML models, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs of the RAN and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Conduct root cause analysis of anomalies detected by ML tools, leveraging historical data and performance metrics to understand underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of mobile network architecture, protocols (e.g., LTE, NR), and RAN technologies.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into meaningful metrics.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex ML results and apply them to real-world network scenarios.Knowledgeable in the following areas : (as many as possible) : ORAN, UMTS,LTE, VoLTE, 5G Mobile backhaulFamiliarity with network performance monitoring tools and techniques.
Capable of dealing with urgent customers issues in a multi-tasking modCustomer facing experience.At least 6 years telecom operator as Performance analysis, NOC, Network Support, or Operations Engineer with experience of trouble shooting. OR At least 6 years of experience working for a large vendor (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, SAMSUNG…) in one of the following positions in this order : field support engineer, performance analysis and similarAdvantage : SQLBenefits
