The Opportunity
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Spare Parts Planner who will be responsible for planning and maintaining parts in order to insure high levels of customer availability while optimizing inventory levels and scrap. The parts planner will interact with service engineering, external vendors, global planners, product assignment, and logistics teams to procure supply and develop inventory stocking strategies to maximize availability and minimize inventory investment.

The Responsibilities
- Plan spare parts requirements using SAP and APO.
- Monitoring levels and fulfilment of customer backorders.
- Develop and execute plans to achieve scrap targets.
- Interface with internal & external business partners (customer service, distribution, commercial, procurement, demand planning, product management, planning management) to develop and execute strategies around market and / or customer supply.
- Interface with external vendors to develop and coordinate supply, place purchase orders and track incoming supply.
- Maintain timely reporting and accountable to inventory, backorder and line item fill rate metric targets.
- Planning system analytics to gather key data in order to identify and drive plans for improvement of supply chain metrics (i.e. inventory, scrap, availability, etc.)
- Employ the use of quality and lean thinking tools to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
- The Global Planning Analyst will manage global demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, equipment purchasing, and S&OP related activities for current products as well as new product launches and product discontinuances.

The Individual
Minimum BS degree required.3-5 years supply chain experience in a matrix environment requiredKnowledge of ERP System and planning processes required, SAP and APO experience strongly preferredKnowledge of Supply Chain processes required (APICS certification preferred)Knowledge of inventory and cost management principles requiredKnowledge of quality tools (lean manufacturing / six sigma), green belt, black belt certification preferredExcellent analytical and organization skillsHighly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
