Director, Americas Supply Chain & Repairs

At RES, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, we are looking for an Supply Chain, Spare Parts & Repairs Direector (Americas) to join our Services Supply Chain team based in Mexico City.

This role is critical to leading the regional O&M and Asset Management Supply Chain organization across the Americas (LATAM and North America), ensuring the right people, processes, and supplier relationships are in place to successfully deliver services across wind, solar, BESS, hydrogen, biomass, and hydro technologies. The position will play a key role in executing the regional services business plan in alignment with the global supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

• Contribute to the development and execution of the O&M and Asset Management supply chain strategy across the Americas.
• Lead the regional supply chain organizational structure, ensuring alignment with business needs and operational priorities.
• Define and implement the regional warehouse and logistics strategy to support operational excellence.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Supply Chain Operations & Project Delivery

• Support the definition and management of strategic suppliers for spare parts, logistics, tools, and PPE.
• Ensure alignment with global purchasing strategies, agreements, and supplier performance expectations.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships across the Americas to strengthen regional capabilities.
• Lead logistics strategy including Incoterms, duties, and import/export considerations across countries in the region.
• Oversee inventory optimization strategies to balance operational readiness and working capital efficiency.
• Support customer-facing activities related to supply chain services and cost optimization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to storage, transportation, and handling of materials including critical components.
• Promote sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction, waste reduction, and circular economy practices.

Asset Management Supply Chain

• Lead end-to-end supply chain activities supporting Asset Management services, including supplier prequalification, sourcing, contract award, and supplier performance management.
• Support regional resource planning required to deliver Asset Management supply chain activities.

Reconditioning Strategy

• Support the development of reconditioning strategies for major components and spare parts.
• Lead coordination between internal workshops and external suppliers to ensure effective repair and refurbishment capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and supplier capabilities.
• Lead and develop the regional Supply Chain team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and performance expectations.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication across the organization.
• Partner with Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain top supply chain talent.
• Mentor team members to strengthen negotiation, supplier management, and leadership capabilities.
• Act as a delegate for the Global Services Supply Chain Director when required.

Processes & Governance

• Ensure effective implementation of procurement and supplier management processes aligned with RES global policies.
• Support ERP implementations and ensure effective supply chain adoption.
• Drive process optimization initiatives and implementation of new supply chain tools and systems.
• Ensure governance compliance and performance tracking across Services Supply Chain activities.

Required Profile

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Supply Chain leadership roles supporting O&M operations in wind and/or solar.
• Strong understanding of supply chain strategies across multiple countries in the Americas.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of international trade processes and logistics management.
• Experience with ERP and supply chain systems (SAP or similar preferred).
• Proven experience leading multicultural and international teams.
• Strong commercial acumen including cost management and supply chain financial performance.
• Experience working in matrix organizations is a plus.
• Fluent English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and change management skills.
