We are hiring a Lead Golang Software Engineer who strives for the highest engineering quality, seeks improvements, continuously develops their skills, and applies them at work. This is an exciting opportunity to work with many popular software systems, integrations technologies, and exciting open-source solutions.

The Commercial Systems unit is conceived as seven engineering teams that closely collaborate with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. We are looking for software engineers for the following teams :

• The Billing team designs, develops, and operates a Golang service that provides a standardized and scalable capability to turn metrics into billable amounts.
• The Contracts team designs, develops, and operates a Golang service that will become the single source of truth for all contracts with all customers.
• The Livepatch team designs and develops a service for the delivery of Linux kernel patches.
• The Ubuntu Pro backend team designs and develops backend services for the delivery of Ubuntu Pro.

Location : This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region (all teams except for Ubuntu Pro) or the AMER region (Ubuntu Pro).
