Energy Transition Specialist

The role involves leading the energy transition strategy for a company, focusing on renewable energy projects in Mexico.

The key objective is to invest in renewable energy initiatives, either in operation or under development.

The main responsibilities include :

• Analyzing market status and future development of the power sector, engaging with authorities and stakeholders to define the company's strategy.
• Evaluating, prioritizing, and incorporating renewable projects, including commercial, acquisition, JV, co-development, and services agreements. Validating Due Diligence and issuing investment approval requests.
• Leading the licensing process, coordinating external and internal resources to obtain and maintain necessary permits, licenses, and authorizations. Engaging with local, state, and federal authorities as required.
• Developing commercial structures for renewable energy projects through private PPAs or auctions, engaging with power sector stakeholders for implementation. Validating commercial proposals for projects.
• Developing financial models for projects in operation or development, validating investment parameters (CAPEX), incomes, and operating costs (OPEX).
• Participating in financial closings, validating technical and legal information of projects to be delivered to advisors of banks / shareholders.
