At Icalia Labs , we design and build bold digital products that truly make an impact . We're looking for a Senior Software Architect who brings a sharp mind, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of mobile ecommerce platforms .

This is not a “hands-off” role. You’ll own the architecture, lead the development process, and be the go-to technical expert for one of our most important clients.

Location : Mexico City (Hybrid : 2 days on-site in Polanco, 3 days remote)

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (1-hour lunch)

Modality : Contractor

Salary Range : $4,600 – $5,600 USD / month (based on experience)

Project Duration : 1 year

Languages Required : Spanish (on-site), Advanced English (daily with remote U.S. team)

What You’ll Own & Lead

• Architect a robust, scalable, and secure mobile ecommerce platform using React Native , Firebase , and GCP
• Document the entire architecture : components, APIs, data models, integrations, deployment strategies
• Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and development plans
• Take full ownership of the codebase and technical decisions, no micromanagement, just full accountability
• Mentor and guide developers on best practices, clean code, and architecture patterns
• Collaborate daily with stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams
• Ensure timely delivery of features with high performance and world-class user experience
• Constantly look for performance, security, and process improvements
• Be the main technical liaison with the client, your input matters
• Firebase & GCP , Experience with scalable backend architecture
• React & GraphQL , Deep understanding of frontend integration
• Git & CI / CD , Solid workflows and deployment experience
• UX Tools , Familiar with Figma , Sketch , or Adobe XD
• Technical Documentation , Clear, organized, and professional
• JIRA and Agile methodologies
