Software Engineer (C++ Developer)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated C++ Developer to join our team and support critical system maintenance, enhancement, and modernization efforts for one of our key clients. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and understanding complex business logic within existing C++ applications, implementing code changes, and ensuring seamless integration with Unix / Linux (Solaris) environments.

As part of a global project team, you will collaborate closely with experts from Germany, India, and Mexico, as well as with external partners, to ensure efficient delivery, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of legacy applications. Your technical expertise and problem‑solving skills will play a vital role in maintaining the stability and reliability of business‑critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business logic within existing C++ programs based on change requests.
• Implement, test, and validate code modifications following best practices and internal standards.
• Work with Oracle SQL databases to design, optimize, and execute queries supporting application functionality.
• Review and modify Unix / Solaris shell scripts, ensuring efficient process automation and integration.
• Support ongoing modernization efforts by identifying opportunities to improve code efficiency and maintainability.
• (Nice to have) Develop or enhance Python automation tools to streamline analysis, testing, and deployment processes.
