Role Summary
As a direct report to the Manager of Financial Systems, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the overall goals and objectives of the corporate accounting department. This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the financial and accounting processes in our ERP systems, financial data management, currency maintenance, monthly GL close processes for areas of responsibility, as well as SOX control compliance.
Responsibilities
- Specific responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst can change over time to provide proper work balance within the department. Current responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Maintain the mapping tables and monitor finance interfaces
- Maintain the financial master data, including the Calendars, Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Company Codes in Oracle and SAP
- Create and maintain cost centers for headcount (HR) and for financial postings.
- Create and maintain the cross-reference tables of the expense report system
- Perform the monthly general ledger and financial reporting close processes
- Perform and review the monthly foreign currency upload process
- Reconcile and analyze selected general ledger accounts as assigned
- Reconcile the Trial Balance load between SAP and BPC systems
- Review and approve certain Oracle accesses in PAM
- Perform and review the monthly Delegation of Authority (DOA) configuration in SAP
- Review and update the DOA for Supply chain personnel changes
- Collect and maintain approvals of DOA exceptions
- Perform the audit review of DOA table on semi-annual basis
- Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliation tasks
- Assist with preparing the quarterly and annual audit schedules
- Interact as required with the controls (SOX), internal and external audit teams
- Assist various departments with financial data related to general ledgers in Oracle and SAP
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required5 - 8 years of professional experience1 year of relevant experience in SAP S4 version and OracleStrong knowledge of US GAAP for complex accounting areasAbility to work with minimal direction, possess problem solving skillsExcellent analytical abilities, communication, and interpersonal skillsExcellent PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office productsAbility to interact with associates throughout the organization as neededAbility to work overtime as neededPreferred Experience
