Azure Data Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our Oil & Gas client on a 12-month engagement.

This role will focus on building and optimizing Azure-based data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business insights across the organization.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL / ELT processes on Azure.Build and manage data storage solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse.Implement data models to support advanced analytics and business reporting.Ensure data governance, quality, and security across all environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business leaders.Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, optimizing systems for scalability and reliability.Required SkillsProven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Services.Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python for data engineering tasks.Solid experience with data modeling and performance tuning.Background in the Oil & Gas sector strongly preferred.Preferred SkillsExperience with real-time data streaming tools (Azure Event Hub, Kafka).
