Descripción del trabajo

Under limited supervision, determines the quality and order date for materials needed to meet the production needs.

Initiates purchase or production requisitions as appropriate.Maintains appropriate inventory levels using MRP and reorder point planning.

Manages the purchasing cycle, including converting requisitions to purchase order, PO follow up, material receipt, and invoice reconciliation.

Develops and maintains supplier relationships Identifies and resolves supply issues Expedites critical orders.

Resolves invoice discrepancies, including pricing, unit of measure, and receiving discrepancies.

Validates and meets the monthly inventory days of supply by product code and facilitates the reduction of excess inventory.

Responsible for the key metrics of network and facing fill rates, days of supply and inventory versus plan.

Coordinates with Sourcing, Demand Planning, Deployment Planning, and Material Master in planning executable inventory levels.

May provide work direction to other Materials Planners.

Requisitos

Requires a bachelor's degree.

Requires at least 5 years related experience.

Understands the product life cycle and underlying business planning requirements.

Knowledge in materials handling (steel, aluminum, copper)

Understands how role impacts the department and the organization and make system configuration recommendations to improve processes based on this understanding.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Good organization skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Solid Customer Relations skills.

Inventory analysis proficiency; Strong analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills.

Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Expert with SAP or other advanced planning system Technology

Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, inventory planning.

Fluent English.
