We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer / Engineer with 10 or more years of experience in the design of power, lighting, and grounding systems for commercial facilities such as hospitals, airports, educational buildings, and corporate offices.
As a key technical leader within our integrated design teams, you will oversee electrical design efforts, mentor team members, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure the highest standards of technical quality and innovation.
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for large-scale commercial projects, including power distribution (medium and low voltage), lighting, fire alarm, data / communications, and grounding systems.Manage and execute design deliverables using Revit / BIM platforms, applying SSOE standards for model quality and coordination.Perform and review load calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, and lighting analysis using industry software.Ensure electrical designs align with all applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IES, local jurisdictional requirements).Serve as discipline lead on complex projects—planning tasks, overseeing junior engineers / designers, and reviewing design documentation for accuracy.Collaborate closely with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to deliver coordinated, efficient building designs.Participate in client engagement : define project scope, present design progress, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Develop or review technical specifications and cost estimates.Mentor emerging designers and engineers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing.Support project management and business development activities as needed.Occasional travel for coordination workshops.
What You Will Bring :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).10+ years of relevant electrical design experience within the AEC industry, with a focus on large commercial facilities (Healthcare, Aviation, Education, Corporate buildings, mixed-use buildings).Demonstrated expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems design.Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related BIM coordination tools.Familiarity with industry software such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, or AGi32.Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA, IES, and applicable energy codes.Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.Conversational English level
