We are an innovative, Silicon Valley-based company with major operations in Ensenada.

Our company, Clever Tiny Homes / Clever Builds, is a fast growing factory-built housing company that uses software technology to build homes faster and better.

Our ownership comes from a software / tech background. You will work closely with people who previously worked with top Silicon Valley investors (YC, etc.) and engineers. This position is for someone who wants to do world-class software development, with an international team, in Ensenada.

Position Overview

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Software / ERP Product Manager to own and drive the evolution of our ERP platform. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with business teams, identify opportunities to streamline operations, and leverage modern tools—including AI—to deliver solutions faster.

The ideal candidate is not just a coordinator—they think like an owner, dive into problems, and proactively design and test solutions. You will work across the full lifecycle : gathering requirements, designing user flows and screens, creating PRDs, testing, and coordinating with developers to ensure high-impact, efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ownership & Strategy

  • Take full ownership of the ERP roadmap, ensuring the system scales with the company’s needs.
  • Act as a product champion : continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and create leverage with automation and AI.

2. Requirements & Design

  • Partner with ERP users and leadership to deeply understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Create clear PRDs, user stories, process flows, and screen designs that developers can execute against.
  • Prioritize projects based on business impact and effort.

    • 3. Development Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal and external developers (Ruby on Rails / Docker environments).
  • Use your technical familiarity (SQL queries, API testing, Docker basics) to collaborate effectively and troubleshoot quickly.

    • 4. Testing & Delivery

  • Create and execute test plans to ensure features meet business requirements and maintain system stability.
  • Monitor rollout, gather feedback, and iterate for continuous improvement.

    • 5. AI-Driven Efficiency

  • Use modern AI tools to speed up the software development process.
  • Proactively experiment with AI-driven automation to reduce repetitive work and enhance ERP functionality.

    • Qualifications

    Experience :

  • Software Development / CS experience a plus, but not required.
  • 3+ years in Product Management, Business Analysis, or ERP-focused roles.
  • Proven success in taking ownership of systems and delivering meaningful improvements.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails , Docker , SQL / databases, and modern APIs.
  • Comfort with analytics tools and ability to write simple queries for validation.
