We are seeking a Director of Academic Excellence to lead the academic strategy and implementation at 2 Hour Learning. This role is remote and offers a competitive base pay of $200 / hr ($400,000 / year). The position is full‑time (40 hrs / week) and is filled via an independent contractor agreement with Crossover.

About the Role
You will direct the academic strategy in execution, establish rigorous standards, diagnose implementation shortfalls, and build elite teams to achieve measurable outcomes. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and articulate the rationale for this model on a global stage.
Responsibilities
- Design academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, student motivation systems, and application architecture.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to verify school teams are synchronized, accountable, and producing outcomes.
- Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
- Ensure strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and progress tracking to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serve as the principal external representative of 2 Hour Learning, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with Ministries of Education to influence systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across multiple schools, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement rooted in rigorous science and demonstrated outcomes.
Basic Requirements
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomesProven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learningTrack record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advisingStrong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high barFluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventionsComfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leadersNice‑to‑have Requirements

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) long‑term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
