tD is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of scalable, high-performance web applications for a client in the gaming and entertainment space. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in React and TypeScript, hands-on experience with Node.js, and a strong track record of delivering WebSocket-integrated solutions for real-time interactivity. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to system architecture, and help evolve a modern frontend platform built for responsiveness and scale. Priorities will include contributing to the development of internal application enhancing their Service Catalog Portal.

This long-term W2 opportunity is based remotely with a strong preference for candidates able to support PST working hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain React applications using modern patterns and best practices
  • Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code with strong type definitions
  • Build and integrate WebSocket-based features for real-time interactions
  • Collaborate with backend teams and contribute to Node.js service development
  • Implement complex form validations and state management solutions
  • Build responsive user interfaces using Material UI components
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test suites (unit, integration, and E2E)
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentorship
  • Work within a micro-frontend and monorepo structure

The internal responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material. (Blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

    • Required qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience, with deep expertise in React
  • Advanced TypeScript skills, including use of generics, utility types, and custom interfaces
  • Production experience with WebSocket implementations and real-time data flows
  • Exposure to backend development in Node.js, particularly in fullstack or integrated environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern React patterns (Hooks, Context API, etc.)
  • Experience with Material UI (v4 / v5) and component library development
  • Proficient in testing with tools like Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
  • Familiarity with monorepo architectures and modular frontend design

    • Preferred qualifications and skills

  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures and Module Federation
  • CI / CD pipeline familiarity (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to code quality, performance, and user experience

    • Education

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
