As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.About the role : The Data Analyst will be a key technical contributor within the Data Analytics function of the Sales Support organization.

They will demonstrate deep expertise in querying, structuring, and visualizing actionable data to drive operational improvements for Sales Support.

We help each other out by sharing best practices and focusing on winning as a team.In this role, you will work on : Data structures : Leveraging their language of choice (e.g., SQL, Python) to shape, structure, and optimize data sets for analysisDashboarding : Creating and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards and other summary visualizations to support decision-making from operational and leadership teamsActionable analysis : Performing a variety of exploratory analyses that help us understand the health of the Sales Support organization and identify opportunities for improvement and optimizationAnalytical modeling : Building analytical models to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes (e.g., analyzing device health to proactively reach out to customers)Cross-functional collaboration : Leading meetings with technical and non-technical leaders to understand data structures, dashboard requirements, and business prioritiesChampion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new officesMinimum requirements for the role : Bachelor's degree from an accredited university4+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or relevant disciplineExperience with data manipulation and processing in SQLExperience building data visualizations with Tableau or a similar, enterprise-grade Business Intelligence toolAn ideal candidate also has : Formal studies in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)Hands-on experience with CRM and ticketing tools, here at Samsara, we utilize Zendesk and Salesforce dataExperience in a Sales Ops or Customer Support organization, with an understanding of relevant industry KPIs and processesExperience with B2B hardware and SaaS productsExperience partnering with leadership to solve business problemsAt Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background.
