About Position :

Lead development and delivery of a multi-cluster network segmentation platform that protects mission-critical commerce traffic across clouds and regions.

Location : Remote
Experience : 7 YOE
Skills : Golang, SDN / CNI integrations, Integration tests, TCP / IP, Linux, Kubernetes, MySQL, Kafka, PubSub, SQS.

What You'll Do :

Build and maintain control-plane services orchestrating network policy and segmentation across Kubernetes clusters and datacenters.

Integrate with SDN / CNI layers (Calico, Cilium, OVS, OVN) and Linux networking (iptables / nftables, routing, BGP, VXLAN).

Ship reliable code with unit / integration tests (Go testing, Ginkgo / Gomega), CI / CD, code reviews, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing).

Own incidents end-to-end, debugging TCP / IP and Kubernetes workloads.

Participate in a 12-hour PagerDuty on-call rotation with weekly handoffs.

Mentor engineers, raise the engineering bar (code reviews, design docs, testing strategy), and collaborate cross-functionally with SRE, Security, and Cloud teams.

Ensure production readiness : rollout strategies, config management, schema migrations, incident response, and postmortems.

Expertise You'll Bring :

7–10 years in backend / systems engineering; 4+ years in Golang building services / controllers.

Solid grasp of TCP / IP, Linux, and container networking (namespaces, iptables / nftables).

Strong Kubernetes fundamentals and hands-on controller / Operator / CRD development (client-go, informers, reconcile patterns).

Experience running and maintaining large-scale services in public or private cloud environments.

Familiarity with etcd (watch, lease, compaction) and practical MySQL usage.

Demonstrated debugging skills across Kubernetes, Linux networking, and distributed systems.

Clear written and verbal communication.

Proven leadership in incident response and systemic fixes.

Nice to have :

Strong SDN / CNI experience (Calico, Cilium, OVS, OVN) and cloud networking (VPCs, routing, security groups).

eBPF program familiarity, service mesh (Istio), Envoy filters.

Security policy engines (OPA / Gatekeeper), multi-tenancy, multi-cluster controllers.

Open Telemetry tracing from control to data plane.
