The Lab specialist is responsible for customer satisfaction, quality certifications, quality-related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, training, quality audits, corrective and preventive actions, development of a quality culture, and driving continuous quality improvement within the manufacturing organization, including laboratories.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure the quality process operates in a safe and ethical manner consistent with Chemours core values.
- Support or lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities.
- Assist in dispositioning off-spec production / non-conforming product.
- Ensure product is released in a timely manner, including follow-up of property release samples and testing.
- Identify and implement solutions to manufacturing issues related to quality.
- Monitor raw material performance and suitability related to productivity.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Interface directly with customers to support sample testing, handle complaints, and ensure problem resolution.
- Support or lead Quality Management System (QMS) within the organization.
- Maintain document control such as standard practices, operating procedures, checklists, and testing protocols.
- Compile and present quality performance data.
- Conduct 1st party audits and coordinate 2nd and 3rd party audits such as ISO.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform general maintenance of analytical equipment (Gas Chromatography, Titrators, pH meters, balances, ovens, etc.).
- Verify functionality of standards and calibrate instruments for accurate test results.
- Maintain lab equipment parts, supplies, and chemical inventories.
- Enter samples and data into the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) and retrieve data as needed.
Requirements for this role :
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.Fluent in English.At least 1 year of industrial experience.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with similar operations is preferred.Willingness to work an 8-hour rotating shift.Proficiency with computers.Experience following Standard Operating Procedures or Guidelines.Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment).At Chemours, you will find sustainability in our vision, our business, and your future.
