Role Description : This is a full-time position for a Medical Doctor specializing in clinical nutrition, metabolic optimization, and supplement-based support for cancer patients undergoing the Immunocine Dendritic Cell Treatment (IDCT) protocol. The physician will design, oversee, and continuously refine individualized nutrition and supplementation strategies before, during, and after immunotherapy treatment in Cancun. This role is central to enhancing immune system function, improving treatment response, and supporting long-term recovery and health outcomes. We are ideally seeking an MD who also holds a PhD in Clinical Nutrition or an equivalent advanced degree , with demonstrated expertise in nutritional biochemistry, metabolic regulation, and integrative cancer care. Key Responsibilities : Conduct comprehensive nutritional and metabolic assessments for all patients prior to initiation of treatment. Design and oversee individualized nutritional and supplement protocols to support immune function, cellular health, and overall metabolic balance. Collaborate closely with oncologists, immunologists, and clinical coordinators to ensure that nutrition strategies align with each patient’s treatment plan. Monitor patient response and adjust protocols based on laboratory markers, clinical outcomes, and patient feedback . Provide ongoing education and counseling to patients on dietary strategies that enhance treatment efficacy and overall well-being. Research and integrate evidence-based supplements and nutraceuticals that support immune modulation and cancer recovery. Ensure all supplement and nutrition recommendations are clinically safe and compliant with oncology and integrative medicine standards. Document all recommendations and outcomes within the patient’s medical record to maintain continuity of care. Contribute to clinical research initiatives focused on immuno-metabolism, nutrition, and cancer immunotherapy outcomes. Maintain awareness of emerging research in nutritional immunology and metabolic oncology , applying relevant insights to patient care. Qualifications and Requirements : Medical Degree (MD) required; PhD in Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, or equivalent strongly preferred. Valid medical licensure and strong clinical foundation in metabolic health, nutrition, and immunology . Demonstrated understanding of the immune-metabolic interface in cancer and chronic disease. Experience developing and managing individualized nutrition and supplement programs for medically complex patients. Knowledge of nutraceutical pharmacokinetics, drug–nutrient interactions, and metabolic pathways . Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex science into patient-friendly guidance . Strong collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary clinical and research teams . Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a passion for integrative and preventive care. Research background or publication history in clinical nutrition, oncology nutrition, or immuno-metabolism is a plus. Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency preferred but not mandatory. Comfortable with technology and data management platforms for remote collaboration and documentation .
