About the Role:
VA WORKS LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our loan officers through various administrative and customer service tasks. As a Loan Officer Assistant, your responsibilities will include gathering and preparing necessary documentation, maintaining communication with clients, and ensuring that all information is accurately entered into our loan processing system. You will be instrumental in streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency of the loan application process. Responsibilities
Assist Loan Officers with loan setup and file preparation
Collect and review borrower documentation including paystubs, W-2s, tax returns, bank statements, and credit reports
Upload and organize documentation in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
Request and follow up on missing borrower documentation
Order and track third-party services such as appraisals, title, and verifications
Ensure loan files meet investor and compliance guidelines
Track loan milestones and maintain accurate loan pipeline updates
Communicate with borrowers and internal team members as needed
Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and other mortgage team members
Maintain organized digital records and documentation
