The position will report to our DNV office in Mexico City, Mexico.

What You’ll Do

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualized server environments (Hyper-V, VMware ESXi) to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems, including updates, backups, and monitoring.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks, including switches, routers, and VPNs.
  • Monitor hardware, servers, and services to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support to internal staff and escalate issues as needed.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Contribute to IT documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions within the team.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and ensure compliance with security and IT best practices.

    What Is Required

  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on maintaining and optimizing on-premises infrastructure
  • Proven track record in Windows Server Core and related technologies
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and troubleshoot network systems, identifying issues and providing robust solutions to ensure optimal network performance and efficiency
  • Significant experience with virtualization platforms, including Hyper-V and VMware ESXi, with a solid understanding of their deployment and management
  • Exposure to different network topologies involving redundancy protocols in layers 2 and 3
  • SQL Server and SQL Cluster administration, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
  • Demonstrate experience in automation tools like Ansible or Puppet
  • Ability to create scripts to automate actions using PowerShell, Bash scripting, or Python
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
