This role requires a high level of experience in people management, team development and change process implementation.
The Immigration Director, LATAM is responsible for the profitability, margin and revenue for the practice.This role is 100% remote, working from home within Mexico, ideally within the Mexico City area.
Some travel may be required.ResponsibilitiesLead the LATAM region and drive the regional immigration program, focusing on the main countries in the regionAdvise strategy for complex mattersBuild and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clientsCollaborate with Account Managers, Sales and Business Development teams to identify opportunities and grow the businessServe as point of escalationCommunicate with immigration authorities to clarify guidance notes and update applications as neededEscalate applications when authorities fail to meet processing standards and withdraw applications or request refunds of government feesManage the team's continuing professional development and assess training requirementsReview case assessments and initiations to ensure an optimal caseloadWork with the leadership team on region structure and headcount resourcingManage the P&L of the practiceAdvise changes to immigration rules to the news team and support ad hoc reportingQualificationsMinimum 10+ years of immigration experienceMinimum 5+ years of immigration manager experience in the LATAM regionBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceClear and effective communication skillsAbility to manage a teamAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent time management and organizational skillsAttention to detailAbility to prioritize, manage and execute multiple tasksOral and written proficiency in EnglishKnowledge of Spanish and / or Portuguese is essentialOpportunityThis is a brilliant opportunity to join a dedicated and collaborative team that works together to make a difference!
