About the role :

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for collating data and preparation of workpapers essential for income tax compliance in US and Canada. The position would also assist with information gathering and schedules required for transfer pricing study. This individual will support ad-hoc tax projects undertaken by the tax function.

What you'll do :

  • Preparation of necessary workpapers for US and Canada tax provision
  • Analyze and reconcile fixed asset records, verifying additions and depreciation accuracy, for tax assets
  • Collate data for income tax returns
  • Gather data for transfer pricing documentation, and prepare necessary schedules
  • Provide support for tax submissions during audit by tax authorities, and statutory auditors
  • Draft responses to tax notices, for review by Director of Tax
  • Assist with special tax projects
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on tax requests
  • Perform tax research and help examine impact of tax law changes

Skills and Abilities :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 2+ years of US tax experience in a related position. Canada tax is an added advantage
  • Experience in accounting for income taxes
  • Effective analytical, organization, communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various responsibilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Excel Skills
