Job Summary
The Red Hat IT team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join in Mexico City. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the IT Training and Content Platforms team, primarily supporting Red Hat's eCommerce LMS platform. Your primary focus will be to partner with business teams and to analyze complex issues in order to translate business needs into technical requirements, then lead those projects through to implementation and configuration in collaboration with our LMS vendor. You will be working with cross-functional teams in waterfall and agile environments. Remote candidates with required skills and demonstrated success working independently will be considered.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with global and regional partner teams, development teams, and architects to solve technical and business problems.
- Meet regularly with key business stakeholders, assisting them with translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, facilitating smooth interactions and collaborative problem-solving for escalations.
- Analyze business requirements for gap analysis and root cause analysis, and develop business case documents, business processes diagrams, and user stories.
- Develop and update documentation including flow charts, slide decks, and other visuals.
- Configure system settings and options; help with planning and occasionally executing unit, integration, and acceptance testing in conjunction with Software Engineers to meet business requirements and build resilient systems.
- Provide validation support with each quarterly release cycle.
- Identify gaps and provide technical expertise for functional specifications, and scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost effective manner.
- Manage several platform requirements and various prioritization requests from multiple stakeholders, and work with cross-functional teams to identify and raise risks and dependencies.
- Review business processes and research new IT advancements to make systems more modern.
- Develop a deep understanding of products / platforms and vision to help guide technical development.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, management information systems, or a related field3+ years experience working as project manager or business systems analyst in full project management lifecycle for software / maintenance / development / implementation projectsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teamsAbility to translate business rules logic into technical requirementsAdept at facilitating communication and coordination for technology solutions and processes across diverse teamsExperience working with all aspects of business including channels, sales, and operationsDemonstrated success in learning new technologiesStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgmentAbility to manage multiple requirements, priorities, and projects simultaneouslyExperience defining and maintaining strategies and business and technical roadmapsExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsExperience working on waterfall and agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban)Experience with source code control platforms, preferably GitExperience using Jira or similar project management toolMotivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic about working with teams to solve complex challengesBackground in Oracle / Finance processes and / or Learning Management Systems a plusAbout Red Hat
