Overview
Position Summary : Responsible for creating the yearly planning, development and implementation of all marketing strategies and marketing communications, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and tactics for the different team chapters in the area of marketing, communications (media), digital, creative, promotions, below-the-line and market research. Directs the efforts of the marketing function at a strategic and senior cross-functional level with other functions inside and outside of the Organization to oversee a correct tactical implementation and to help meet financial goals. The position is accountable for creating, implementing and measuring the success of brand awareness to positively impact the overall number of transactions and customer count compared to plan and previous year.
Position Responsibilities
Create the yearly marketing operating plan to ensure the articulation to a strategic level of the brand image and positioning. Assure consistent communication of image and positioning throughout the Organization and to all constituencies, which include to oversee the appearance of all the advertising print and electronic materials sent to stores or to the media, giving direction and guiding on-plan marketing efforts to both internal and external (extended) teams in the media buying and the creative agencies.
Create and manage through the Promotions Manager the yearly promotional calendar in association with the senior Merchandising staff to impact both DIY and AZC sales successfully over key seasonalities, making extensive use of all internal printed and electronic materials inside and outside the store. Oversee the development of such materials with the creative team.
Commissioning market research and interpreting data about the parts market and its target groups to offer customer insights to key functional areas to provide strategic and meaningful support that contributes to meet the Organization's goals in terms of customer satisfaction.
Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing above the line (ATL) and below the line (BTL) programs and its activities. Monitor progress, assure accountability adherence and evaluate performance to report back to the Marketing VP.
Work with peers and other senior staff members to develop and maintain the strategic perspective based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making.
Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote and guide qualified marketing personnel.
