GPS Americas Regional Associate Director – Location : Monterrey, Nuevo León – Full time – Hybrid

About the role

As GPS Americas Regional Associate Director, you’ll lead HR service delivery for approximately 20,000 employees across the Americas region. You’ll manage a team of about 50 HR professionals, ensuring exceptional employee experiences through efficient, customer-focused HR operations. This role is key to driving continuous improvement, transformation, and alignment with global HR strategies—all from our Carrier Business Services hub in Monterrey, Mexico.

You will be part of the Carrier Business Services management team in Mexico, contributing to site-wide initiatives and collaborating across functions to support service excellence. Your team will handle HR inquiries through multiple channels including HR portal, call center, chat, and email, ensuring timely and accurate support.

This role requires strong partnership with the broader HR community, including HR Business Partners, Communities of Expertise (COEs), Global Process Owners (GPOs), and digital teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading GPS operations across the Americas region, ensuring service excellence and compliance.
  • Managing a diverse team of HR professionals, including recruitment, training, and performance.
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners, COEs, and GPOs to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Monitoring KPIs and SLAs, analyzing trends, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leading transformation projects and contributing to global HR strategies and frameworks.
  • Ensuring GPS operations meet service level agreements and support employee-centric culture.
  • Identifying opportunities to transition operational work into GPS or to third-party providers.
  • Driving innovation in service delivery through new technologies and process enhancements.
  • Supporting compliance with regulatory changes and internal policy updates.
  • Collaborating with global GPS leaders on shared frameworks and regional / global initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements :

  • 10+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in multi-country operations.
  • Proven ability to lead large operational teams and drive service excellence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with service quality tools, metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Fluent English and Spanish language capability.
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience leading transformation projects in HR services.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience managing external vendors and implementing business process efficiencies.
  • Aspirations to grow into broader HR or global GPS leadership roles.
