Travel & Expense Manager – Americas – Mars
Job Description
Manage financial operations related to travel & expense, ensuring compliance, process improvements, and global initiative support while maintaining internal controls and customer service excellence.
What are we looking for?
- Background in finance, accounting or audit
- Proactive, detail‐oriented with strong prioritization skills
- Team player committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business (preferred)
- Proven experience in finance, accounting or audit roles
- Strong knowledge of expense processes, GAAP and controls
- Excellent problem‐solving, communication and customer service skills
- T&E experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and collaborate with the Hub team to ensure operational excellence through defined metricsOversee expense management, settlement card management and controls compliance platform / managed servicesMaintain and update the expense platform configuration as Concur AdministratorServe as escalation point (2nd / 3rd tier) for customer service and issue resolution from the Hub teamMaintain internal control environment and recommend improvements to control activities (ICE control framework)Support planning and execution of projects and initiatives from internal and external sources, coordinating with key partnersCommunicate and cascade relevant information across cross‐functional teams to ensure alignmentMake process improvement and policy enhancement recommendations related to T&EStay updated on new processes and system functionalities, partnering with GPO to support global solution rollouts and provide insightsReport and track key performance metrics, identify issues, root causes, and seek resolutionsDerive and share analytical insights related to T&E with stakeholdersFacilitate communication across supported business units to build relationships and ensure metrics are metLead initiatives aimed at improving operational efficienciesDraft and collaborate on communications regarding system changes, issues and deadlinesLead standardization and documentation efforts across supported regions and countriesWhat can you expect from Mars?
