Senior Manager - Oracle Applications Development

Overview

Senior Manager – Oracle Applications Development role at Marsh McLennan (MMC). Based in Mexico City with a hybrid work arrangement requiring at least three days per week in the office. This role involves setting development standards, fostering innovation and continuous improvement, optimizing development processes (Agile / DevOps), and ensuring seamless integration of emerging technologies. Strong leadership and broad technical expertise are required to manage large, geographically distributed teams.

We will count on you to

• Serve as the single point of contact for managing multiple development resources across geographically distributed teams. Align workload, monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure effective communication between developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and architectural best practices. Promote Agile and DevOps methodologies to increase delivery speed and quality.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance on Oracle Financials initiatives, collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades meet business requirements. Participate in solution design and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of high-performing application developers. Build a diverse and skilled team, focusing on technical excellence and cultural fit. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional growth opportunities to ensure long-term retention.
• Partner with business and IT leadership to define application roadmaps, technology modernization strategies, and resource allocation plans. Drive process improvements in development workflows, release management, and quality assurance.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships related to application development. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and security best practices.
