We hire for “GRIT” (Goals, Results, Innovative ideas, Team). The Growth role sits at the core of Scribd’s subscription-based business, focusing on refining funnel strategies to boost subscriber retention and reduce churn. The successful candidate will apply data-driven experimentation, user behavior, and market trends to implement growth tactics and retention mechanisms, with impact on customer experience and business results.

You Will

• Lead the development and execution of product strategy and vision to increase subscription growth and improve retention rates, leveraging insights into customer behavior and market trends.
• Continuously optimize the subscription journey, identifying pain points and opportunities to improve the user experience and increase conversion.
• Leverage data and analytics to guide decisions, identify growth opportunities, and establish clear success metrics.
• Drive product strategy in ambiguous settings, using product management frameworks to clarify objectives, mediate diverse viewpoints, and propel product growth and user engagement.
• Understand customer needs and behaviors by conducting research, data analysis, and usability testing to inform strategies that reduce friction along the key steps of the customer journey.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Analytics, Product Marketing, Engineering and Customer Service teams.

You Have

At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $139,000 to $216,500. In the United States outside of California, the range is between $114,500 to $205,500. In Canada, the range is between $145,000 CAD to $192,500 CAD. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped; different levels may have different ranges. This position is eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
