Global Trade Coordinator
The Global Trade Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless international logistics, compliance with customs regulations, and optimization of supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Trade Operations Management :
- Coordinate trade activities, including documentation, scheduling, and customs clearance to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
- Classify goods according to tariff codes and ensure accurate declarations to avoid any discrepancies or penalties.
- Prepare and process shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to facilitate smooth transportation operations.
- Monitor shipments to resolve any transportation issues and maintain open communication with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal departments.
- Compliance & Risk Management :
- Ensure all shipments comply with local and international trade regulations to prevent any non-compliance fines or penalties.
- Maintain accurate records of trade transactions for audits and reporting purposes to support informed decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.
- Logistics Coordination :
- Plan logistics routes and arrange transportation with carriers and freight forwarders to optimize delivery times and costs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.
- Support warehouse and inventory teams with inbound and outbound shipment coordination to maintain inventory accuracy and reduce stockouts.
- Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities to streamline trade processes and improve efficiency to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Develop and implement SOPs for international logistics procedures to standardize operations and minimize errors.
