Role Overview
The Timekeeping Consultant is responsible for supporting the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of UKG Timekeeping solutions (e.g., workforce time, attendance, and scheduling). This role partners with HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to translate policy and operational needs into system rules, ensure accurate time capture and exception handling, and provide guidance on best practices, testing, and end‑user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain time and attendance rules (worked time, overtime, premiums, rounding, pay codes, and validations) to align with company policies and legal/contractual requirements.
- Set up and support absence management processes including leaves of absence (LOA), permissions, and related eligibility/approval workflows.
- Configure and monitor accruals (vacation, PTO, sick time), including accrual rules, balances, carryovers, and audits/reconciliations.
- Support expense management processes (as applicable), ensuring correct capture, approvals, and downstream reporting/integration.
- Support workforce scheduling activities such as shifts, assignments, rotations, and coverage rules; troubleshoot scheduling impacts to time capture.
- Investigate and resolve timekeeping exceptions and errors; provide root‑cause analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate and timely processing, including period close activities and data validation.
- Participate in system testing for enhancements, patches, and new releases; create test scripts and document results.
- Create and maintain documentation (configuration, SOPs, job aids) and provide training and support to end users and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Timekeeping / Attendance platforms (UKG experience is a strong plus).
- Understanding of time rules and worked‑hours calculations, including exceptions and compliance considerations.
- Knowledge of absence/leave concepts (including LOA) and accrual calculations.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system configuration and clear documentation.
- Strong communication skills and customer‑service mindset when supporting stakeholders and end users.
Language & Work Arrangement

- Hybrid work model: work from home (WFH) and onsite presence as required by the business.
