Lead Software Engineer

Overview

We are South and our client is looking for a Lead Software Engineer with duties as a Technical Lead (React / Node.js). This role guides a team of developers while remaining hands-on with coding, combines technical expertise with leadership, ensures best practices in development, drives architectural decisions, and mentors team members to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions in a fast‑paced, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a senior developer specializing in React (Frontend) or Node.js (Backend).
• Collaborate on developing and maintaining web applications and services.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and support.
• Contribute to code reviews, and maintain high code quality and documentation standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance, support, and career development.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability, security, and best practices are followed across projects.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, aligning priorities and ensuring timely delivery.
