BASIC PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Integration Manager, maintains and supports global EDI automation and integration within all functional areas .
In collaboration with other IT areas, partners with Dawn business users in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of transformation maps and EDI communication with our trading partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with functional teams to develop requirements for transformation map creation / maintenance of EDI data to / from SAP Idoc's leveraging our 3 rd -party EDI solution, PartnerLinQ
Works with functional teams to develop other non-EDI interface transformation to meet partner specifications or Dawn business requirements using PartnerLinQ
Develops and maintains EDI transformation maps for legacy systems : Trusted Link EDI mapping software
Set-up communication with PartnerLinQ for integration partners.
Dawn supports most communication protocols which include VAN, AS2, FTP and SFTP
Maintaining SQL data bases and writing JAVA scripts to facilitate SAP transformation
Perform and validate trading partner testing
Monitor, identify and document EDI process related issues in PartnerLinQ, SAP and other peripheral applications
Maintain EDI functional specifications and create process documentation
Provides support for system integration testing; performs tests and modifies application configurations to resolve errors
Communicates and assists with third party service providers
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information systems or related, or equivalent work experience with applicable associate's degree Related Experience / Requirements :
4-7 years of progressively responsible information technology experience in the EDI field.
4-7 years of experience with EDI communication and transformation configuration.
3+ years of experience working with SAP Idoc's, supporting multiple ERP functional areas.
Understanding of EDI concepts and practices.
Knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, X.400 and XML
Knowledge of EDI communication protocols such as VAN, AS2, SFTP and FTP.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners.
Document issues and solutions as problems are addressed.
Works with functional teams to support integration points within SAP and other systems.
Ability to manage project tasks in a timely manner or clearly anticipate and communicate project issues.
Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to assist in troubleshooting of EDI communication issues.
Ability to assist in troubleshooting of EDI system issues and recommend possible solutions.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Ability to effectively partner and communicate with peers and business stakeholders
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands
Experience with the Baked Goods manufacturing and distribution process is a plus
Ability to support multiple SAP modules
Ability to support non-SAP applications (3 rd party and custom developed applications)
Physical Requirements :
Up to 10% travel
