We seek professionals who share our vision of creating sustainable solutions that improve lives and protect the planet, today and for future generations.## As the Verdant by Copeland Director of Business Development or “Market Maker” in Latin America, you will play a pivotal role in introducing our products to new markets across the region.Your primary responsibility will be to develop market penetration, establish and strengthen reseller partnerships, build and lead a local team, and drive pilot installations to accelerate sales.As a key member of Verdant by Copeland International Expansion Team, you will combine your entrepreneurial experience, sales expertise, and understanding of the Latin American business landscape to ensure the successful growth of our solutions.You will also work closely with Copeland’s Latin American organization to understand their structure, build alignment, and leverage existing resources to accelerate growth in the region.

  • Basic Requirements :
  • ## What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA is an asset.
  • Proven entrepreneurial background with hands-on experience in building markets, teams, or businesses.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and business development within Latin America.+10 years of experience in business development, sales, or entrepreneurial rolesExperience in Latin America, with ability to manage cross-country operations
  • Strong ability to establish partnerships and influence stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English, Portugues is an Asset.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively within the region, with periodic travel to Montreal as required.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and motivated by building something new from the ground up.## Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Market Development & Strategy
  • Identify opportunities, challenges, and competitive dynamics within the Latin American HVAC and sustainability markets.
  • Develop tailored go-to-market strategies for Latin America and other key countries in the region.
  • 2. Team Building
  • Help to Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing local team to support sales, and assist with project management.
  • Foster a strong team culture and ensure alignment with Verdant by Copeland global values and standards.
  • 3. Partnership & Relationship Building
  • Establish and manage relationships with reseller partners, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build strategic alliances to expand Verdant by Copeland reach and accelerate adoption.
  • 4. Sales & Pilot Installations
  • Drive direct sales and revenue growth by engaging prospects, negotiating agreements, and closing deals.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee pilot installations to demonstrate the value of Verdant by Copeland solutions.
  • 5. Entrepreneurial Leadership
  • Operate with agility and creativity to overcome challenges in developing new markets for Verdant by Copeland.
  • Serve as both strategist and operator, building infrastructure while achieving immediate sales targets.
  • 6. Market Insights & Reporting
  • Track sales performance, analyze customer feedback, and monitor market trends to provide insights.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on market progress and opportunities.
  • 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Verdant’s Montreal headquarters, including product development, marketing, and support teams.
  • Ensure strategies are aligned with overall business objectives while adapting to regional realities.## Location & Travel
  • This is a remote role, administratively tied to our Mexico office.
  • Limited office visits to Mexico may be required
  • Initial training will be conducted in Montreal, Canada for an estimated 2-week period, with periodic travel to Montreal thereafter.

  • Remote Work Arrangement :
  • This role is fully remote. As a remote colleague, you may be required to travel to a Copeland site regularly to collaborate with your team or customers as needed.
