Job Summary
Caterpillar’s Drivetrain team designs systems and components, including axle housings, spindles, planet carriers, cases, clutch and brake components that are used across Caterpillar machines and OEM applications. The team is also a centralized resource for designing and validating drivetrain components that are exposed to ground induced structural loads. These components are primarily cast iron, cast steel, or steel forgings. This role is for an experienced metallurgist to provide technical guidance and support for the extended design team.
