THE POSITION
Porch is seeking a Policy System Implementation Specialist to help drive its implementation of the BriteCore platform. A successful candidate must review and understand insurance manuals and translate the contents into requirements and configuration for the BriteCore platform. The position requires heavy problem‑solving and debugging, practice of business knowledge of the insurance industry, and light programming in Python.
What You Do
- Fully comprehend insurance materials, including policy and rating manuals, underwriting guidelines, and other information pertinent to insurance activities.
- Analyze insurance materials to uncover risks of potential problems / issues (such as missing, unclear, or contradictory information).
- Configure insurance products within the BriteCore platform, including rates, forms, and permissions.
- Research, troubleshoot, and problem‑solve.
- Work comfortably across teams.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, computer science, MIS, or business with technical or information systems.4 years of experience, 2 years of which should support any type of insurance product configuration.Previous BriteCore experience a plus but not required.Ability to interpret insurance manuals and operational information or demonstrated ability to learn new domains.Light programming skills in Python or another scripting language.Strong attention to detail; critical thinking skills.Proven experience working with US based business teams.Excellent written and communication skills in English.Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations – Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap.Workspace : Quiet space, 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload.
