Position Overview

The Privacy Operations team is part of Insulet’s broader Security and Privacy Operations (SPO) department within the Technology organization. The team is responsible for the day-to-day execution of privacy management activities and global privacy operations, as well as providing exceptional privacy by design advice, embedded with product & franchise teams. Together with our Information Security Team, Data Protection Officer and Legal Privacy Counsels, you will work with business teams and other departments to ensure that personal information is protected and processed in line with customer and regulatory expectations. Your impact will be evident across Insulet’s products and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a small team of privacy professionals to focus on privacy operations excellence, including data subject requests, privacy incident management, vendor due diligence, and privacy impact assessments.
  • Take a leading role in Insulet's ongoing privacy program maturity initiatives and execution of readiness for new regulations and market expansion.
  • Provide privacy requirements, guidance and solutions to HR, finance, Customer Support, Marketing, Commercial and local field teams, Technology, Sales and Legal, in line with Insulet’s Privacy by Design policy.
  • Risk Management : Taking a pragmatic and business-aligned approach in solutioning risk reduction efforts with business partners and product delivery teams. Develop and monitor risk registers for privacy operations.
  • Develop guidance and assists the Insulet in identifying, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies and procedures in coordination with management, the Technology, engineering and the Legal department;
  • Identify and drive improvements for Insulet’s global privacy program, including privacy management tooling and privacy enhancing technologies.

  • Responsible for developing privacy documents, policies, and procedures in alignment with the overall direction and strategy set by SPO leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all internal teams regarding privacy operations and privacy by design.
  • Authorized to conduct privacy reviews on systems, vendors, and business processes.

  • Required Skills And Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of privacy principles, data protection regulations globally, and technical expertise to implement privacy-preserving techniques;
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies, system architectures, IT eco
  • Communication at all Levels – Across potential ELT meetings to technical engineering discussions, strong communication needed to ensure visibility and alignment of privacy risks, impacts, and mitigating actions;
  • Education And Experience

  • Professional Privacy Certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) or Privacy Engineering certification;
  • A minimum 8+ years’ privacy experience in a regulated industry (life sciences or tech preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience in leading privacy teams and driving strategic privacy initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Privacy Law, Information Technology, or a related technical field;
  • Additional Information

  • The position will be hybrid at our Mexican Offices. The preferred location is Tijuana
  • Travel is estimated at 5% but will flex depending on business need.
  • NOTE : This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week.
