Your Job

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a strategic and experienced  Director of Human Resources  to lead HR operations across multiple facilities in Mexico. This newly created leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape our HR strategy and culture as we expand our footprint in the region. As the first HR Director responsible for Mexico operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving talent, culture, and business results across diverse sites while partnering closely with plant and regional leadership. This position is in Monterrey, Mexico.

This position is ideal for a seasoned HR leader passionate about developing high-performing teams, establishing a Principle Based Management (PBM) culture, and delivering value through impactful HR strategies in a dynamic, multi-site manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and oversee HR functions for multiple Koch Engineered Solutions facilities in Mexico, supporting approximately 200 employees.
  • Develop, mentor, and guide teams at a new start-up manufacturing facility, including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and talent development.
  • Collaborate as a strategic partner with Plant Managers, Regional Leadership, and global HR to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Drive the rollout and adoption of Principle Based Management (PBM) across all sites to foster a unified culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Design and implement scalable HR systems, processes, benefits, and incentives that support operational excellence and compliance with Mexican labor laws.
  • Lead talent management initiatives to identify and mitigate talent risks, build leadership pipelines, and enhance employee engagement across the region.
  • Act as a key advisor on labor relations, including union negotiations and compliance within Mexico’s regulatory environment.
  • Join global team of HR business partners, with global and regional COE support for payroll, compliance, benefits, HR systems, recruiting, legal, union relations, etc.
  • Leverage HR data and market intelligence to proactively address competitive labor market challenges and optimize workforce planning.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local educational institutions (universities, technical schools) to develop sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Represent Koch’s employer brand externally to attract top talent and cultivate positive community and industry relationships.
  • Support and contribute to regional plans, adapting HR strategies as the business grows.

The Experience You Will Bring

Basic Qualifications :

  • Extensive HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mexico labor laws, union relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner effectively at all organizational levels, from operations to global leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and economic decision-making skills to prioritize HR initiatives that drive business value.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience leading HR during facility / business start-ups.
  • Demonstrated success managing union negotiations and labor relations in Mexico.
  • Expertise in developing scalable HR systems and processes for growing operations.
  • Strong network and experience working with local talent markets and educational institutions.
