Job DescriptionThe RoleThe Payroll Lead is responsible for overseeing the processing of multiple payrolls, managing departmental workload, and maintaining an organized monthly work calendar to ensure timely payment and accurate reporting of payroll withholdings.
This role involves specialization in payroll reconciliations, coordination of payroll processing operations, and providing assistance to team members in error resolution and responding to inquiries.
Additionally, the incumbent will review reports on various aspects of employee pay, such as bonuses, vacation, disability and workers' compensation leave, taxes, and withholdings.
The Payroll Lead will also play a key role in coordinating with different payroll vendors for our talent centers and providing training to the team on policies, regulations, and processes.Job RequirementsWhat we are looking forAl least 6 of progressive work experience in complex payroll processing with quarterly and / or annual payroll tax reporting responsibilities.At least 5 years of experience in Mexico payroll and 1 year in Colombia payroll is desirable.Experience handling payrolls for more than 800 employees with monthly incentives scheme payments.A plus is experience managing USA payroll but is not necessarily required.Skills : Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.Proficient in payroll software and G-Suite.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Laser focused approach to details.Job ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilitiesMonitors workflow, team assignments, and processing deadlines, verifies accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions.Provides direction and assistance to department staff regarding payroll processes.
Coordinates the workload of the Payroll department.
Monitors staff workload based on input from individual specialists and gives recommendations to the manager for final decisions on actual adjustments to workload.Ensures accurate accounting and reporting on all payroll related feeds to finance.
Monitors and updates payroll department / process procedures and contributes to development of payroll related policies and procedures.Coordinates, develops and maintains written documentation regarding payroll procedures and processes necessary for reference and training materials.Coordinate payroll providers in Mexico and Colombia.Ensure social Security and local calculations and payments.Coordinate audits from 3rd parties and internal (Statutory audit, internal audit, IMSS, INFONAVIT and Local Taxes) in order to comply on time with such obligations.Manage the RESE-related payroll processes, including ensuring the correct separation of payroll items and reporting requirements for specialized services, and coordinating with legal and finance teams to guarantee full compliance with the law.Responsible for the strategic planning and proactive management of the payroll calendar.
