What will you do
- Lead the design, modeling, and optimization of thermal systems, components, and architectures.
- Conduct detailed thermal simulations using tools such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
- Evaluate thermal performance under a variety of operating conditions and environments.
- Perform steady‑state, transient, and worst‑case scenario thermal analysis.
- Analyze experimental data, correlate it with simulation models.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior thermal engineers and cross‑functional teams.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, reliability, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and manufacturable thermal solutions.
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, and failure‑analysis activities.
- Communicate findings, trade‑offs, and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve thermal performance and product efficiency.
- Contribute to patent filings, research initiatives, and technology roadmaps.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in thermal design, analysis, simulation and testing for complex systems or products.
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer fundamentals: conduction, convection, radiation, and phase‑change cooling.
- Understanding of electrical systems and electromagnetic effects on conductive parts.
- Hands‑on expertise with thermal simulation tools (e.g., Fluent, Icepak, COMSOL, FloTHERM)
- Experience running CFD and FEA simulations, including mesh generation and model optimization.
- Ability to interpret and analyze laboratory data and correlate with simulation results.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and certification requirements is a nice to have.
